{"id":514,"date":"2014-08-01T17:55:14","date_gmt":"2014-08-01T21:55:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/shinytinymansion.com\/?p=514"},"modified":"2025-09-11T14:16:42","modified_gmt":"2025-09-11T18:16:42","slug":"it-takes-a-villageportland-the-land-of-the-small","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/shinytinymansion.com\/index.php\/2014\/08\/01\/it-takes-a-villageportland-the-land-of-the-small\/","title":{"rendered":"It Takes a Village~Portland, The Land of the Small"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Since I&#8217;ve already mentioned Portland a few times<\/strong> on this blog, it&#8217;s probably evident that I have a fascination with the place and the people. \u00a0Admittedly, this obsession comes from watching shows like Portlandia and Grimm (I hope there are more quirky people than monsters there), but I feel like these are my peeps.<\/p>\n<p><strong>So, I&#8217;m happily cruisin&#8217; along on the net<\/strong> and screeecccchhh to a hault when I see the article <a href=\"http:\/\/tinyhousetalk.com\/cautionary-tale-on-tiny-houses\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">A Cautionary Tale on Tiny Houses <\/a>by Allan Cerf on <a href=\"http:\/\/tinyhousetalk.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tiny House Talk<\/a>. \u00a0It goes against all of my beliefs about a place I have never seen but hold dear in my imagination.<\/p>\n<p><strong>It seems that it is more difficult than it appears to procure a spot of Portland real estate<\/strong> to park your tiny house, and the people aren&#8217;t even that friendly!
